This non-profit is run entirely by volunteers. There are no paid staff. If you want to make a difference and have every dollar you donate go to serving those in need, please donate to the Richmond Emergency Food Pantry. If you want to volunteer, it is a small operation, so no group volunteer situations will work, but the Pantry can always use dedicated, hardworking volunteers on Tuesdays and Fridays, which is when they distribute food.

The Richmond Emergency Food Pantry is an all volunteer organization that provides 3 day emergency food packages to those in need. The REFP was established in 1971. More than half of the annual budget is donated by individuals in our community. The REFP also receives support from the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano Counties.
