Mission: The richardson east rotary foundation was organized to facilitate its sponsor club, the richardson east rotary club, to develop the mission of rotary which is to encourage and foster its individual members in: 1) the development of acquaintance as an opportunity of service; 2) high ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society; 3) the application of the ideal of service in each rotarian's personal, business, and community life; 4) the advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
Programs: Community service was extended by providing financial support to: the city of richardson, tx, for its parks and recreational facilities, for its civic programs and by participation in its community leadership programs; graduates of richardson, tx high schools by payment of scholarhips to attend accredited colleges and universities; richardson independent school district; richardson organizations providing literacy programs; a richardson organization providing youth and family counseling services; a richardson dental clinic that provides free dental services to students attending schools within the richardson independent school district system and the richardson ymca
international service was extended by providing financial support to: the rotary foundation, an affiliated organization whose programs and objectives are consistent with this organization; the wheel chair foundation which provides free wheelchairs to non-ambulatory people world-wide; financial contribution to a sanitation project in india which provided restroom facilities to twelve girls schools
vocational service was extended by recognition of exemplary performance in their profession by public school teachers
youth service was extended by providing financial support for: scholarships to high school students to attend a leadership camp; supporting a speech contest for high school students based upon the rotary 4-way test and for sending students to a youth leadership training camp
