Mission: To help transform schools to become sustainable and productive community learning centres that are rich in agro-ecological resources. Our core purpose for the short to medium term is to facilitate the establishment and strengthening of SCOPE country chapters. At the country level we would like to see dynamic SCOPE chapters with a good geographical spread of membership and partnerships, showcasing grounded and well documented examples in schools and communities and responding creatively to opportunities.
Results: o More than 200 schools have transformed their landscapes and the mindsets of the beneficiaries Partnerships between organizations involved in Sustainable Agriculture strengthened. o Guidelines for practical and sustainable land-use in schools developed. o Healthy environments in institutions of learning and communities created. o Partnerships with relevant Ministries established. o Permaculture learning materials produced. o Information sharing platforms among partners established. o Capacities of participating organizations strengthened. o Joint monitoring and evaluation systems set up.
