Mission: Providing the orientation and education refugees need to become self sufficient members of society.
Programs: State of michigan department of human services - school impact grant: provided after school tutoring, youth groups, parent education, english as a second language classes, and summer camp for area refugees. The grant helped the center serve 2,200 people.
lansing school district: helped the center provide language aquistion opportunities for k-12 students. During the year the center served 1,000 people.
michigan fitness foundation: helped cultivate the culture of health to transform the status quo and improve the health of all michiganders. During the year the center service 400 people.
capital area united way, charles schwab wallace advisors, capital region community foundation, michigan office for new americans, city of lansing: various activities all providing education and day programming classes for youth and adult refugees.
