Causes: Community Health Systems, Health
Mission: To improve the health of the communities we serve.
Programs: Spectrum health reed city hospital (shrch) is a 25-bed facility with a 24-hour fully staffed emergency department. Shrch is proud to serve the people of osceola, lake, and mecosta counties and support local communities. Safe, accessible, high-quality care is fundamental to patient-centered care. In fact, shrch is the first hospital in michigan and one of only 21 hospitals worldwide to receive the patient-centered designation since the program's launch in 2007. Beyond medical care, shrch offers people the chance to connect in a variety of ways that ultimately impact health. Community activities include community safety awareness events, free flu vaccines for community members, free cancer screenings, health fairs, first aid tents, annual 5k run, annual charity golf classic, and low-cost sports physicals. During fiscal 2013, the hospital had 834 admissions, 16,844 emergency room visits, and 28,927 primary care office visits.
