Programs: Redeemer classical school is an independent christian school without ties to any church or denomination. The school's statement of faith is focused on the truths that have bound orthodox christians together through the ages, across the boundaries of time, place, race, denomination and tradition. In 2016-2017, the school's enrollment increased to a record 125 students. 15% of gross tuition was forgiven in the form of assistance.
redeemer students received numerous awards in the school year, including 12 students who received national recognition in the national latin exam (ordinarily reserved for high school latin students), 35 students who received national recognition in the national mythology exam, and two who received awards at james madison university's regional science fair. One student won the gold award in the environmental science section as well as the virginia american water works association first place award and the virginia lakes and watersheds association junior award and the broadcom masters recognition of outstanding performance at a science fair in 2017 and a top science fair project in the nation. The other student won the silver award in the behavioral science section.
all of redeemer's hand bell classes (grades 4-8) regularly perform outreach concerts at venues including retirement homes, schools and preschools, libraries, luncheons, salvation army kettles, benefit concerts and christmas tree lightings; and host the shenandoah valley school hand bell festival (est. 2006) which draws handbell choirs from local area schools as well as from maryland and northern virginia. Classes often compose their own pieces, and graduating 8th graders play at level 3/4.
