Causes: Boards of Trade
Mission: The recreational gaming association of washington is organized to encourage and promote the responsible operation of commercial card room gaming as a form of entertainment through effective communications to all appropriate constituencies, provide innovative member services, create education and training opportunities in the area of problem and compulsive gaming, initiate and support laws that preserve and protect the right of responsible commercial card room establishments to operate equally, legitimate and lawful entertainment businesses in the state of washington.
Programs: The recreational gaming association of washington is organized to initiate and support laws that preserve and protect the rights of responsible, commercial card room establishments. During the reporting period the entity conducted four board and general membership meetings, an elections meeting, and a state-of-the-industry meeting. The organization sent out weekly legislative reports during session and reports, as needed, on pertinent information occurring at monthly washington state gambling commissions meetings. Representatives also testified before the wa state legislature and wa state gambling commission on behalf of its members relaying the concerns and issues facing the house banked card room industry.
