Causes: Physical Fitness & Community Recreational Facilities, Sports
Mission: We promote outdoor recreation and bring people together to enjoy, preserve and improve the places where we play.
Programs: Recreation: in 2017, recreation northwest held four multi-sport events highlighting the trails and parks of our communities.
stewardship: in 2017 recreation northwest completed the fairhaven park wetland trail & boardwalk, held ten work parties and planted 200 native trees and shrubs in the former trail site.
education: in 2017 recreation northwest connected 2000 people with outdoor recreation opportunities at our recreation northwest expo and summit. We launched the first year of our parkscriptions pilot program partnering with healthcare providers to prescribe time outdoors.
