So proud of all that WeSNiP has done for the community over the last 13 years. Excited to see what the future holds.
I was with this organization since it's inception for many years. When this organization came into being in 2008, euthanasia for lack of space at the local shelter was a significant problem as they are an open admission shelter never refusing to take in an animal regardless of it's condition. Very quickly after WeSNiP started working this community no longer euthanized dogs or cats for lack of space at all and many people who had significant barriers to having their pets fixed (money, transportation, disabilities) have been able to avail themselves of this amazing service. This is the key to ending pet overpopulation-there will never be enough rescues, foster homes and adopters if everyone who wishes to have their dog or cat fixed can't do so! Bravo WeSNiP! You're amazing...
WeSNiP is lucky to have such amazing staff and volunteers that care deeply for the animals and clients they serve. Keep up the wonderful work!
This place and these people care so much in every way. They are the most caring and compassionate people that I have experienced in any form of animal welfare.
They do everything they can to further their mission of spaying and neutering cats from low income individuals, but they also hold so much care for the people they serve. They get to know them and form a relationship which does nothing but help everyone involved, it helps friends of that individual know it’s a place without judgement, and safe for their cats.
Everyone that works here and volunteers I count myself incredibly lucky to know! They deserve all the support to continue their work
Such a wonderful program that I’ve trusted with my pets twice ! Only a SMALL donation fee requested/ recommended which is out of this world reachable and the team member's are so caring and nurturing to both your pets and their owners. Will always seek out this NONprofit for future pets!
WeSNiP has been in the community for over 13 years. They continue to help anyone that has a need. I am so happy to help volunteer with the wonderful staff and other volunteers! Keep up the great work!
WeSNiP continues to do great work for the community! We are lucky to have this program in Bellingham! Helping cats, dogs and owners in need.
I had the absolute best experience with WESNIP. From the wonderful staff waiting outside in the early morning to guide me where to go, to the friendly woman signing in the kitties to be spayed. Thank you WESNIP for providing quality and affordable care for my sweet baby!
24,000 spay and neuter surgery has saved millions of animal lives from going into shelters and being euthanized for space. How amazing is WeSnip!!!!!!! The equalization of access to spay and neuter resources is something desperately needed in society, and by gosh they’re doing it. They’ve done it TWENTY FOUR THOUSAND TIMES!!! That’s a lot of snip snap motion, and they are still perservering! To anyone who loves animals, this place is amazing, their Executive Director knows her stuff and knows what she’s talking about and is passionate, and it shows! Go WeSnip!
I started as a volunteer forWeSNiP 10 years ago. Three years ago, I was offered an incredible opportunity to become an employee.
As my roles and responsibilities with both positions has brought different opportunities and perspective, there is one inclusive commonality that merges them all: WeSNiP’s dedication and passion to work collaboratively to stop pet over population! Together, with our very small staff of 3, a supportive Board and many volunteers, WeSNiP makes spay and neuter accessible and affordable for eligible clients and their cats and dogs! We offer programs for both domestic cats and have a strong Trap Neuter Return (TNR) Program for feral cats. So fabulous...so fun!
Thank you!
Very effective program to help Whatcom County families, particularly less wealthy ones, to take responsibility for their cats and dogs. Stray cats are neutered as well, helping song birds to survive. Organized and efficient, the staff of WeSnip humanely reduces unwanted pet populations.
Years ago, a friend told me about a cat that had been left behind at a house that was suspected of having been a 'meth lab'. The occupant had been taken to jail. I went to the home and started calling the traditional 'here kitty kitty', and this beautiful long haired boy strutted out to say hello. He let me pick him up and take him home. WESNIP was so kind and caring to help me with low-cost neutering! I am a HUGE WESNIP fan; and advocate for them widely in two counties in which I work.
WeSNiP is an incredible non-profit providing an invaluable service to Whatcom County.
They make a tangible impact in our community, helping pet owners to afford spay/neuter services. In doing so, Whatcom County has seen a significant drop in the number of unwanted pets that need to be euthanized. Thank you WeSNiP!
Great organization!! They help keep down, the over population of ferral cats by spay and neutering ... saving many little lives.
The passion and dedication of program participants is infectious.....making a difference for our furry friends one cat at a time providing care that improves their quality of life and overall health.
I have had the pleasure of being both a client as well as a volunteer with this amazing program. Workers are warm, well-organized, respectful, and totally committed to helping to solve the problem of cat over-population while recognizing that feral kitties need help to do what they are really good at: controlling rodent overpopulation.
I have first hand knowledge that these girls go out before sunrise to help trap feral cats who have no home to call there own. This is a wonderful group that has helped so many people with spaying and neutering the cats they feed.So many people can not afford the cost of the spay and neutering. So they call these angels for help. I work with a group in California that also rescues cats and dogs and have followed there work and they go beyond what is expected. Love we snip for there
educating school children about unwanted litters! Cheers to Whatcom we snip
WeSnip has helped us catch and fix 8 feral cats and kittens. We can’t say enough about this great organization!!!
WeSNiP is a great organization! They help those who might otherwise not have access to spay and neuter services, preventing unwanted litters that often end in euthanasia.
WeSNiP is providing such a valuable service to our community for both the companion animals and their humans. They have facilitated over 20,000 surgeries since 2008 completed with true compassion and kindness for their clients. These results have helped our local shelter not have to euthanize for space any longer. A steller organization!
WeSNiP has done an amazing job in our community for the last 12 years helping with Spay and Neuter and minimizing the euthanasia rate in our county.
Best non profit for low income spat and neuter in Whatcom county. Also helps feral cats in the community. Does amazing work for Whatcom county!
