Causes: Home Improvement & Repairs, Homeless & Housing, Housing & Shelter, Housing Rehabilitation, Philanthropy, Philanthropy, Voluntarism & Grantmaking Foundations
Mission: In partnership with the local community, rehabilitate homes of low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly, disabled and families with children, to ensure that they remain in their own homes safe, warm and dry.
Programs: Provided repairs to homes during the year. The rebuilding together home selection team selects the projects based on 10 criteria, which include income, length of home ownership, disability, age complexity of project, etc. Recipients must be elderly and/or disabled homeowners who cannot work themselves, or cannot maintain their homes due to limited income. The organization pays for the repairs to the properties including costs for materials, labor, permits, etc.
