The Rebekah’s Angel’s Foundation has impacted and changed so many lives. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it. Rebekah so eloquently and graciously shares her story with the world and inspires others to share their own.
I worked in Title 1, urban classroom settings for the first 17 years of my teaching career. During this time I taught many students navigating unspeakable trauma while others navigated the generational trauma that is often found in families living below the poverty line. I knew that trauma impacted learning. I did not know HOW MUCH that trauma impacted their learning until I experienced my own.
In 2013, I was at the finish line of the Boston Marathon during the marathon bombings.
Part of my own healing involved following Rebekah’s courageous journey. In 2023, I was selected to be a part of their 10 person team to honor the 10 year anniversary of the bombings. The opportunity to reclaim that finish line in the name of helping others who were suffering from the effects of trauma, was a transformative healing experience.
My continued support of Rebekah’s Angels is my small way of working towards systemic change. The executive dysfunction that occurs in our students who are navigating trauma is an epidemic in this country that has been ignored for too long.
I have been following Rebekah's story since the Boston bombing of 2013. What an inspiration she has been! So when I learned that she had founded a non-profit (Rebekah's Angels), I knew that this was a mission that I was 100% behind! I have supported this foundation for 2 years now since I ran the Boston marathon in support of Rebekah's Angels in 2023. I have been able to witness in person what such an amazing organization has had on people/families, which only fueled my passion to support them even more so I am again running for Rebekah's Angels in Boston Marathon 2025. Foundations like Rebakah's Angels are so important for helping children/families dealing with trauma.
As a nonprofit partner with Hands Across the Bay, I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the incredible impact of Rebekah’s Angels. Their dedication to providing trauma therapy to families in devastating situations is nothing short of life-changing. I have seen children and parents alike find healing, growth, and renewed joy through their services. Rebekah’s Angels not only offers hope but delivers tangible results that empower families to move forward with strength and resilience. Their compassionate approach and commitment to truly making a difference set them apart as a beacon of healing in our community. I wholeheartedly support and commend their mission.
Rebekah‘s Angels has personally transformed my life and healing journey!! I am a survivor of attempted murder domestic violence and was blessed to receive funding from RA for an intensive trauma therapy program. After completing the intensive, my heart & mind felt a peace I cannot explain in words. I was able to process through numerous traumatic incidents and the attack with a trauma professional, who used accelerated resolution therapy. It’s a miracle to be able to tap into old memories and release pain that we had no idea our bodies were even holding onto. I am forever blessed by Rebekah‘s Angels Foundation… THANK YOU to all RA donors, my life has been forever changed for the better because of your support!!!
