Mission: To promote and further the availability of housing for low income and under privileged persons.
Programs: Repair affair makes needed repairs to the exterior of homes owned by elderly homeowners. Teamed with the lexington remodelors council and both skilled and unskilled volunteers the organization coordinates spring and fall repairs to enhance the homes.
the remodeling for access and mobility project or "ramp" provides low income home owners with improved access to their homes. Community volunteers are guided by the lexington remodelors council to construct wheelchair ramps or to make other necessary exterior modifications, including installing lifts and railings. The organization makes approximately 15 to 20 modifications a year.
emergency repairs are to heating and air conditioning units, repairs resulting from leaky roofs or water heaters for low income and elderly homeowners.
