Programs: Re:Source Cleveland was founded in 2010 to serve the resettled refugee population of Greater Cleveland. Re:Source currently has eight programs serving a broad group of newcomer populations. Youth Mentoring serves 48-50 youths from 4-8 grades in after-school programming including academic and social-emotional mentoring. Teen Response provides comprehensive educational support for 400 newcomer high schoolers in 6 public schools. Post Secondary Bridges serves 150 young adult newcomers in post-secondary opportunities focused on jobs and careers. Corner65 serves over 200 young people through extracurricular activities such as art, sports, music, health, and wellness. Adult Tutoring provides ESL and personal support for 36 adults. Ohio City Farm is a social enterprise that employs newcomer farmers and serves a 400-member Community Supported Agriculture program. Newcomer Navigators is a partnership that helps newcomers access social services and resources. Our work is focused primarily on youth, teens, and their families. We’ve expanded and changed our Youth Mentoring, Corner65, Teen Response, and now Post Secondary Bridges programs to serve more young people and help them transition from 4th grade and into the post-secondary opportunities of their choice. Across these core programs, we work with hundreds of middle-school and highschool aged students and their entire families.
