Ray of Hope Children Services is an organization that was founded by a visionary. It was founded on the principle of each one teach one. As such, the services offered to the children if Haute Feuille are teaching these girls that they matter and that they something to offer the world. I wish everyone could learn from this exemplary organization; instead of giving these girls the fish, Ray of Hope Children Services is teaching them how to fish.

It is very acknowledgeable that Ray of Hope Children Services is an exceptional Not-For-Profit organization, which is focused on assisting orphan girls in Haute Feuille, Haiti. As a choreographer, Artistic director, and dance instructor, I had the pleasure of teaching and preparing its members for some fundraiser galas to support their Education Program. Ray of Hope Children Services would be pretty much worthy of any grants to aide in its continued services. Keep up the good work!

“A profound experience that changed my life.”

My name is Carl Saint Jean. I am a former student from West Roxbury Academy. I am an alumnus board member at “Quest Adventures, Inc.,” a nonprofit organization that gives Boston Public Schools’ students the opportunity to do local and international community service learning experiences. This experience with Quest triggered the desire for me to travel to Haiti with Ray of Hope Children Services, Inc., a nonprofit organization that I became acquainted with through Quest.

On July 8th, 2013 I left the land of opportunity for the land of no promise where I could work and see how children and youth like me manage to live in what we call today a “cold life.” My experience in Haiti left a life transforming impact on me. Haiti, my country, opened my eyes in realizing that my living in the US is a blessing. I eat to satisfy my hunger; I drink to crunch my thirst; I have a job to provide for my needs; and I receive free education from elementary to high. In Haiti, all the basic needs that I just mentioned are so costly that the poor can’t afford. I saw so much while I was there, that I congratulate Ray of Hope Children Services, Inc., (ROHCSI) is doing an awesome job in turning this situation around for the girls in Haute Feuille. Not only the girls are in school, they are also provided with schools supplies and a warm meal.

The girls, in my conversation with them, told me that: “They are happy to come to school because this is where they find happiness and some, because that is where they eat.” These words touched me so deeply that I decided to recruit more youths to travel with ROHCSI every year so we can make a difference in these girls’ lives.

Ray of Hope Children Services Inc, ROHCSI, has done an exceptional job helping the children of Haiti. ROHCSI had reached out to Illuminous Event Solutions, IES, to help with their annual Fund-raising Event. From every step of the way, ROHCSI has been consistent and really stand by what they believe in, with their focus on helping reshape Haiti and it's children. It was a pleasure of being every part of this movement. Thank you Paula Sylvestre and ROHSCI and I'm looking forward on working with you all again. http://www.illuminouseventsolutions.com

My name is Sasha. I am 16 years old and I am a volunteer for Ray Of Hope Children Services Inc. an awesome organization which is doing an excellent work for the orphan girls of Haute Feuille, Haiti. I have volunteered in all the relief efforts such as: school supplies, clothing and medical drives and ushered at the fundraisers. I also had the opportunity to travel to Haiti to assist in the distribution of school supplies and met ROHCSI's children in Haute Feuille.

The trip to Haiti helped me realized that I was very fortunate. I no longer take things for granted after seeing the children.
