Programs: State contracts and grants - the primary purpose of these programs is to provide supportive services, residential services, and supported employment services directly to consumers. Examples include housing costs, transportation, and case management staff.
vocational - offers individuals with disabilities the opportunity to work and earn a paycheck. Individualized planning is used to determine and encourage client needs and interests in a state approved sheltered workshop. A work activity center also provides individuals with training and assessment services in areas such as basic self-help skills, functional academics, community life skills, behavior reduction intervention, and communication skills in a work setting.
thrift stores - provides a place of employment opportuntiies for consumers and the ability for the community to participate in the support of the consumers through donation. The community is benefited through the ability to purchase quality, low-cost goods.
