These donations are used for such things as acquisition of medical equipment, leasehold improvements, salaries and other expenses. In addition, donations are also used for research and development in the different medical fields, and for the betterment of basic patient care. Research grants have been awarded by a variety of organizations and entities in israel and the us. The grants received are used in medical research in a variety of fields such as nephrology, hematology, cardiology, pathology, neurology, immunology and the liver department among others. It is among other missions of the fund to initiate, advance and support clinical and practical laboratory research in all medical fields, as well as develop and provide medical services for the benefit of the patient and the general public in israel.
