Raksha has been recognized by Anti- Defamation League for closing the book on hate, the Gandhi Foundation, IACA, and received the Creating the Voice Award. Raksha address family violence in Georgia's South Asian community and parnters with many mainstream partners- for example working to ensure an immigrant section in the domestic violence bench book, training law enforcement on barriers facing immigrant communities. Raksha played a key role in creation of International Women's House and Tapestri. Raksha was the first social service agency geared to the South Asian community in the Southeast United States.
