Mission: The Rainbow Community Center of Contra Costa County (RCC) builds community and promotes well-being among Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Questioning (LGBTQ) people and our allies.
Target demographics: diminish the sense of isolation and promote greater acceptance for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer/questioning (LGBTQ) people, especially youth, seniors, and people living with HIV/AIDS

Geographic areas served: Contra Costa County
Programs: services to LGBTQ youth, LGBTQ seniors and people living with HIV/AIDS. Other services include peer support groups for HIV positive men, people in recovery, transgender people, and LGBTQ+ identified men and women. The center also provides referral services, social and educational programs, general and mental health assistance and advocacy guidance. The Center also promotes HIV prevention and offers free rapid oral HIV testing opportunities. The Center provides regular social opportunities for women, men, transgender people, youth and senior citizens. RCC maintains a fully cataloged lending library of LGBT literature. All of these activities are published in a monthly calendar, monthly e-mail updates, and available online at www.rainbowcc.org . Both the newsletter and the webpage carry articles of interest on these events, activities and programs. Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive and respectful environment for LGBTQ people of all ages, socio-economic status, races, cultures and religions. We strive to create services and activities that will promote the mental, physical and spiritual well-being of our community by providing professional services, peer support, referral services, social opportunities and educational programs of interest to our community as well as to the community at large.
