Race2Roam thoroughbred sanctuary and rescue located at aleman farm in West Virginia is a amazing and beautiful place where retired horses find freedom to roam. The Race 2 Roam board members are exceptional women dedicated to the welfare of horses and to the mission of the organization. 50 thoroughbreds found a home due to the involvement and love of R2R founder Cristina. The organization needs support to take care of all horses, any donation can help. Do not hesitate to contact them
This fledgling horse sanctuary and rescue is exceptional in that the owner of the farm uses a large amount of her personal funds to take in and care for horses, as fundraising is a big challenge and takes a lot of time and (wo)manpower. Nevertheless, more horses are rescued all the time from a bleak fate and live with great joy and freedom at Alemar Farm, where the sanctuary/rescue is located. I have signed up as a volunteer to help find the support needed to maintain Race2Roam, which has come a long way in a short time but still has a long way to go. I can't think of a better way to help horses!!
