Mission: The queer foundation was formed exclusively for the charitable purposes of (1) receiving contributions and paying them over to eligible individuals enrolled, as attested to by the institution, in an academic program of study at any of the accredited secondary schools or institutions of higher education that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code, and (2) providing technical assistance to potential grant applicants regarding application procedures.
Programs: Scholarships granted to individuals selected based on an essay submitted in the 2016-17 high school seniors english essay contest plus scholarships awarded to former essay contest participants whose writing was selected for publication in the foundation's newsletter, the queer foundation scholar.
