Causes: Fishing & Hunting, Sports
Mission: To promote the highest standards of sportsmanship, particularly in huntingand fishing, general education of all in the conservation of wildlife andnatural resources, especially as related to putnam county and the state ofnew york, and to unite sportsmen in a formal society for their mutual helpand benefit, and to seek the introduction, promulgation and support ofsound legislation pertaining to the interests of the organization.
Programs: Open practice shooting : over 400 members and their guests provided access to the rifle, pistol, air gun & trap ranges
archery : target range and 3-d target range : available to over 400 members and their guests.
jr shoots for boy & girl scouts : firearms and archery safety merit badge training and qualification. Nys hunter safety courses; nra range safety officer training.
