Not only this organization helped Puerto Rico after hurricane Maria, but they are still working for the Island three years after. They are distributing food tirelessly during this Covid 19 pandemic. I take my hat off to the great work of this organization. GREAT JOB!

This organization worked by sending 3 million pounds of food and water to Puerto Rico after hurricane Maria. I was a volunteer for them. Now, with the Bahamas situation after hurricane Dorian, they have multiple places in Puerto Rico and Florida to collect donations and they are almost ready to go to Bahamas. Keep up the good work! Kudos to Sara Lopez and her team!

This is the type of organization that donors shall support. They put action on their words. They comply, they respect the word. They are helping Puerto Rico after 2 years, non-stop and now they are helping the Bahamas. Pretty active and reliable organization.
As a donor, I am very pleased with how Puerto Rico Rises is always taking care of sending reports, videos and photos on where and how my donations were used. I have donated approximately 5 times for different campaigns and I always receive a donor report and that is transparency. I trust this organization and can recommend them with no hesitation about their honesty and hard work.
After hurracaine María hit Puerto Rico some of us got no help from FEMA or thw government. PRRises was there in our time of need. We got aupplied with clothes, diappers for my babies, milk, water and food. They where so good and attentive to us. We are always gonna be grateful.

When Maria traumatized the Puerto Rican people Puerto Rico Rises employees rose to the occasion, not only bringing the bare necessities, but also providing energy efficient mobile home, bringing wood to rebuilt roofing and walls to the country that was a in great need. Puerto Rico Rises bought this and much more, like compassion empathy, love and put smile that will last a life time.

I discovered this jewel of an organization in late 2017 after Hurricanes Harvey and Maria had hit Texas and Puerto Rico, respectively. My nephew’s wife and family had raised funds at their Cristina Restaurants in Texas to help those who were impacted by the storms, and I was asked if I knew a trustworthy organization in Puerto Rico that would be good stewards of the donations. After some research, I found Puerto Rico Rises and Director, Sara Lopez, and soon realized that she is not only a person of sincerity and integrity, but that she and her team have a genuine heart for the people served by the organization.
We asked that part of the donation be used for Corozal via the “Adopt A Barrio” program in memory of my father who was born there. She and a team member recorded their ascent up the mountain and later posted beautiful videos and photos documenting their visit to the town while distributing water and supplies. I am forever grateful to Sara and Puerto Rico Rises for making it happen during a period when it was nearly impossible to get aid to that area.
I have followed the organization through social media and have seen the impact that they continue to have, providing in much needed practical ways - food, water, beds, cooking appliances, and even housing. Jesus said, 'Truly I say to you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.' (Matthew 25:40.) May Puerto Rico Rises be a firmly established and widely recognized non-profit organization, and may they receive all the resources needed to continue with their excellent and noble mission.
