Mission: Project Underground, through a combination of advocacy and support of communities, direct campaigning, working in coalition with other organizations, movement building and public education, exposes the corporations that systematically abuse the human rights of the communities they operate in and the global power structures that support them. We focus specifically on oil extraction and gold mining and through our campaigns are calling for a phase out of all new oil exploration and open-pit gold mines based on mandates from the communities impacted by these operations.
Programs: Mining Campaign; Oil Campaign; Indigenous Mining Campaign Project; and Information Campaign, which includes the publication of "Drillbits and Tailings", our monthly newsletter on mining and oil industry issues.
