Mission: Founded in 1968, PRY has developed an impressive array of programs in education, counseling and youth development to help low-income children, adolescents, and adult family members advance in knowledge and skills, gain respect for themselves and others, and grow toward responsible adulthood. PRY's clients reside or attend school in the Brooklyn neighborhoods with some of New York City's lowest literacy rates. Most are enrolled in school but are academically below grade level and/or truant. PRY supports these young people in developing a variety of skills that will help them succeed personally, professionally and academically. A holistic, comprehensive approach permeates all of our work.
