Mission: Improve the reading and writing ability of disadvantaged children and families in the western new york area.
Programs: Books for kids - distribution of books and reading materials to existing libraries in elementary schools and human services agencies in western new york. Establish libraries where none presently exist.
children and families at risk - oversee tutoring program for elementary students in at-risk or under review buffalo city schools. Tutors are buffalo state students. They are paid by the school for their work/study activity. Other community based literacy programs.
