Mission: Project Connection is a Salt Lake City based nonprofit mental health agency founded on the belief that connection is the foundation of mental health. Our mission is to provide trusted, accessible mental health services and create a network of strong community partners who work with us to help our clients find, foster, and celebrate connected lives. In addition to providing outpatient therapy that is evidence-based and trauma-informed, we connect our clients with the people and resources that take treatment outside the therapy room and bring meaning to their lives. This is done through our out-of-the box programs and a community network that is dedicated to creating connection points within our community. Through the support of donations, grants and community partnerships, we are able to make these services accessible to everyone.
Target demographics: Individuals struggling with mental health challenges.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 550 individuals
Geographic areas served: Salt Lake County, Utah
Programs: Below are some of the programs we offer to support our community. Critical Time Intervention (CTI) is a case management program specifically for individuals who are transitioning from in-patient mental health care. Through our School Based Therapy Program, we have satellite offices in select Salt Lake County schools. This allows for collaboration with the school team to the extent it is approved by parent/guardian. Our school-based therapists provide trauma-informed care and clinical interventions not available through the school team. Our Youth Respite Program provides children ages 7-17 with mental health diagnosis an opportunity to build relationships, and experience their community while providing time for their parents or caregivers to foster other relationships and engage in self-care. We offer group and classes from parenting classes to groups to trauma-informed yoga-we have a connection opportunity for everyone. Our Social Prescribing Program connects our clients with the people and projects in the community that honor their story and add meaning to the work.
