Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Children & Youth, Civil Rights, Reproductive Rights, Women, Womens Rights, Youth Development - Citizenship
Mission: To support and protect, as a fundemental freedom, a woman's right to make reproductive choices. The mission is accomplished through support of education, training programs and public policy initiatives.
Programs: Education and community organization - we do this through grassroots organizing tabling at street fairs, rallies and other events. At these venues we teach people about the need for reproductive healthcare for all washingtonians and current threats to the provision and access to such care. We build alliances across the state and country with individuals and organizations to build strong support for comprehensive reproductive health, with the end goal of enacting social and policy change.
research and communications - naral pro-choice washington foundation sponsors research into the activities of the anti-choice forces. We also research the public knowledge and attitudes about threats to comprehensive reproductive healthcare. Our research also includes a regular perusal of public and social media, both print and electronic on all aspects of women's reproductive healthcare. We communicate this information to our members and the general public through email, a webpage, tabling rallies and other events, as well as printed and an e-published newsletter.
