Mission: Preservation massachusetts is the statewide non-profit organization that actively promotes the preservation of historic buildings and landscapes as a positive force for economic development and the retention of community character. Preservation massachusetts leads the way for the commonwealth through legislative initiatives, reaching out across the state, educating our partners, building partnerships, networking, and events.
Programs: Public policy & advocacy/educational programs - the organization engages in policy issues at the local, state, and national level to support historic preservation policies. The advocacy program provides technical assistance and advice to individuals, communities and organizations regarding historic and community preservation issues. Educational programs provide information about historic preservation generally, as well as about specific issues through publications, e-alerts, outreach, collaborative presentations, etc.
