Mission: Pregnancy choices is a christian ministry caring for those touched by unplanned pregnancy by providing options and resources that promote life.
Programs: The pregnancy resources program exists to provide women with confidential services that confirm pregnancy, educate women about the options available for their pregnancy, and provide supplemental resources and referrals. The direct services offered by the pregnancy resources program include pregnancy testing, crisis pregnancy coaching and education, plus limited obstetrical ultrasound. Because we are community supported, all of our services are offered at no cost. Pregnancy choices has approximately 40 dedicated volunteers who put in over 2500 hours in 2017. Pregnancy tests are administered one-on-one with a trained client advocate and results are given within minutes. During this appointment, women are cared for holistically. Clients receive education on abortion procedures and risks, types of adoption to consider, and local parenting resources so that clients can make an educated decision for their pregnancy and their future. Clients receive emotional and relational care through discussions and education regarding sexual risk avoidance, healthy relationships, future goals, and family dynamics. Client advocates care for clients spiritually by offering prayer, bibles, and discipleship opportunities on an as needed basis. In addition, referrals for social services such as housing, continuing education, job training, recovery, medical care, childcare assistance, and more are provided. A licensed medical director oversees the medical team providing limited obstetrical ultrasounds on women whose pregnancy test is positive. Recipients of an ultrasound receive fetal development education and additional medical referrals as needed. Regardless of their situation, the pregnancy resources program services are available for women facing unplanned or planned pregnancy. Since we do not perform or refer for abortions, arrange adoptions or provide comprehensive medical care, we have no financial interest in the pregnancy decisions made by women. Each woman deserves to make an informed choice for her pregnancy. The pregnancy resources program exists to provide the necessary information, resources and caring support for her to do so. Pregnancy choices administered 246 pregnancy tests and performed 113 ultrasounds in 2017.
