Programs: Cleanmed - cleanmed is the premier global conference for leaders in health care sustainability, fueling the movement for greener health care and inspiring new ideas and means to success. Cleanmed's mission is to accelerate the health care sector's commitment to environmental sustainability and regenerative health, thereby improving the health of people and the environment. Presented by pgh and health care without harm (hcwh), cleanmed is held every spring and brings together some of the brightest minds powering the sustainability space in health care, from across the country and around the world, including nearly 1,000 representatives from hospitals, health care systems, university researchers, group purchasing organizations (gpos), food service directors, health care architects and designers, and product and service providers and more than 80 exhibitors to showcase breakthrough products and services to hospital decision makers to accelerate sustainability in health care.
member engagement - one of the benefits of practice greenhealth membership is a dedicated liaison for direction, technical assistance, identifying key resources, and educational support. Each member engagement team staffer is responsible for a portfolio of health care organizations and for developing fresh sustainability content for all members to access. The team aims to improve the membership experience by conducting a verbal assessment with the sustainability lead of the organization, creating easy-to-digest goals and toolkits and to forecast what is next in health care sustainability, with an equal focus on engaging those that are just getting started. Content discussions include employee engagement, water, climate and resilience and food waste, to name a few.
sector performance - the sector performance department at pgh identifies performance metrics for sustainability in the health care sector while also creating reports, tools, and resources to support members in assessing, measuring, and benchmarking their sustainability performance.
