Mission: Practical Farmers of Iowa's mission is to strengthen farms and communities through farmer-led investigation and information sharing.

Programs: In 2014 we provided more than 200 opportunities for farmers to learn from each other. 800-plus attended our annual conference, 5,800 attended field days and 3,800 viewed 15 farminars (online webinars). In 2014, 65 PFI farmers participated in 42 on-farm research and demonstration projects, including cover crop trials, pasture monitoring, pesticide drift monitoring, and building energy-efficient walk-in coolers. 420 members helped lead the organization in 2014, through on-farm research, presentations, serving as mentors, serving on committees, speaking in the media, and more. 91% of our members have reported Practical Farmers has helped them achieve their farm goals.
