Mission: During the twelve months ended 12/31/2016, poverty solutions successfully served 12,358 low-income persons needing financial educat eitc tax preparation, job-training, and entrepreneurship development
Programs: P-solutions successfully served 12,358 low-income persons needing financial education, eitc tax preparation, job-training, and guidance about homeownership, education, and entrepreneurship development. Many business management class participants paid $40 training fee. These services were provided in collaboration and partnership with other nonprofits and volunteers from local cpa firms, law-schools, business-schools, community colleges, and calcpa society. Breakdown of the accomplishments include the following: hosted 24 empowerment & economic opportunities and financial literacy lending, direct and through wholesale agreements with other lenders (1) assisted 26 low-income families with down-payment assistance

And home improvement/rehabilitation loans in the amount of $2,385,620 (2) facilitated 148 small businesses loans as follows: (a) facilitated 24 small businesses loans in the total amount of $5,684,408 facilitated homebuyer education that benefited 1,540 low-income person help 14 low-income adults to pass exams for in-demand careers helped 48 at-risk youths obtain ged and helped 33 to get into colleges train 88 hard-to-employ persons to acquire job-skills and be placed assisted 138 veterans with business plan, entrepreneurship, finance/ca provided 1,206 hours of bookkeeping, accounting, tax, and other tas
