my association with PP Goa has been a professional one for the period of 2-3 years. Working in the field of HIV/AIDS, care and support and advocating for the Rights of PLHAs has been their main focus. My experience with the organisation especially the staff has been very enriching. Participation of PLHAs as staff/team members at all levels of Project mamnagment is truly and indeed outstanding. The committment & motivation of staff towards the organisation and especially towards the project partcipants is commendable. PP Goa has also succeeded in establishing good rapport and linkages with the government hospitals, doctors, ART centers, ICTC centers and other departments in the state of Goa. Mission: The Vision of PP is to build a vibrant and self-reliant network of independent and interdependent groups of PLHIV and other vulnerable people in Goa, in order to assert, defend and expand the social, economic and cultural rights of PLHIV, for their identity, inclusion, opportunity, equity and sustainable livelihood, and thereby control the spread of HIV & STDs in Goa.
Results: Served to 2000 People living with HIV, 40000 youg people,5000 Female sex workers, 800 Injecting Drug Users,20000 migrants and 50000 civil society members
Direct beneficiaries per year: 900 PLHIVs,150 CLHIVs,5000 young people,800 Female sex wokers and 600 Injecting Drug Users
