Positive Charge PDX is such an amazing organization within our community. Our family has attended a few events and it has been amazing to help out those here in Oregon and beyond. My daughter and her friends recently collected over 3,600 tampons and pads for their Period Power Project! Great job Positive Charge.

These people rock. We were at their California wildfire event in January and really appreciated the complicated coordination they did to pull it all together.

I am continually impressed by the kindness that is shone upon our community by this non-profit. I am involved as a driver on one of the food pickup routes and I see the benefit immediately when the gathered donation is delivered to the free market. Positive Charge PDX continues to find ways to light the way for those among us who are dealing with a bit heavier burden than what we have.

This organization cares about helping and healing, period. It doesn't matter who, where, why, or when. Not only are they exceptionally caring and impactful to those who they serve, but they make it a point to be accessible to anyone who wants to VOLUNTEER with them without any outside restricting factors (location, age, socioeconomic situation, etc.). These are the people that make the world better, and I'm so honored to get to volunteer with them.

Two Can Tuesday is a part of this wonderful organization, and it truly makes a difference. So many individuals are queued up at the Neighborhood House food bank - it is so rewarding to see them get the food they need. Our donors are amazing and so caring. We are grateful to be part of this wonderful organization.

As someone who volunteers with Positive Charge regularly, I love the organizations we partner with and the people who put in so much effort to help others.

It's been a wonderful experience planning with the group and training others who volunteer with us. I will continue to do my best to keep the programs growing.

Positive Charge is amazing!!

I have been a volunteer with this group for over five years. I have participated in many of their weekend evernts. I have also donated materials for projects to make life for homeless people on a recurring schedule. I am impressed by the board meetings that I have attended in which projects are decided up on and organized. No opportunity has ever been rejected if the group decides they have the resources and can make a difference in the community. Their strength lies in their willingness to work with established groups and combine resources to increase everyones' abilities. This group is made up of caring neighbors helping other neighbors.

This 100%-volunteer run nonprofit always gives me a "positive charge" no matter in what capacity I participate . . . from helping behind the scenes to stepping up to lead a volunteer event. And, oh, the PC! PDX "angels" have become like family to me!

I love this group~ They are just as their name says. Positive energy reaching out to people in Oregon with a more positive and hopeful touch. Their theme is not to accept the energy of the negative, but to turn it around with a positive approach to bring positive results in a kind and sensitive way.
They are the modern version of Johnny Appleseed.
Warm regards to all and in appreciation for Positive Charge Pdx,

I am a Compassion Through Literature Little Free Library Steward through Positive Charge PDX. Such a great group that hooked us up with a LFL and diverse books to stock it for the last year. I've been impressed with this grass roots organization that works to amplify kindness in large and small ways throughout the community. Very sweet NPO!

PDX Positive Charge is a small nonprofit that is making an amazing difference locally. I attended an event a few weeks ago and helped transport clothing collected for unhoused neighbors. It was heartening to see the spirit of volunteers and how much was collected. Kudos to all involved!

Positive Charge! PDX began in 2016 at a time when a group of people wanted to change up what seemed like a different variety of bad news that we woke up to on a daily basis. It was overwhelming and depressing. We decided that in order to change the story, we would need to do more than wish it away, we would need to create the positive change we wished to see. More than 5 years after helping countless people in our community and outside our borders, my own life has improved in an exponentially greater way, due to all the good that I get to experience from helping make good happen and seeing the results. The very good, positive, and generous people I have met, and the amazing and wonderful friends I have made along the way have taken me far away from the place I was when I was watching negative life happen all around me. Now, I enjoy making positive life happen over and over again with incredible, like-minded people. I love this group.

I attended a public event to promote their Compassion Through Literature initiative and was inspired by the way PC PDX brought together a diverse group from the community. By partnering with local businesses that sponsor Little Free Libraries they are bringing awareness of inclusion and compassion to the Portland community.

My wife and I found out about Positive Charge when they advertised that they were having an electronics/computer collection day. We donated some electronics that we no longer needed and got information about volunteering. Since then we have started volunteering to pick up surplus food from a Safeway Distribution Center and delivering to the Neighborhood House food pantry. We are so gratified to be able to help those who need food assistance and that Positive Charge has made it so easy. Everything was already arranged, they provided us with the pickup dates and times, arranged for someone at Safeway to have it all ready for us, and gave us what we needed to drop it off. What a great organization.

I love this group - the dedication of the (unpaid) staff, the diversity of events, which allow volunteers to be involved in many ways, depending on abilities (or not!) and availability. For example, I don't have an artistic bone in my body, but even I could decorate and fill lunch bags for the homeless. I also appreciate that the organisation is non-partisan and non-faith based. I also enjoy the opportunity, depending on the event, to meet and get to know the other volunteers.

My experience is being received as more than just another source of resources. Positive Charge PDX is a people centered, people first service organization where donated time, goods and energy are distributed in our and other communities with grace and respect; donations of time, goods and energy are received for distribution with grace and respect. As a volunteer and as a contributor I have seen the impact of Positive Charge PDX on the lives of adults and children. In our world where much is self focused I am grateful for the grace and beauty of Positive Charge Pdx the staff and volunteers.

In a world where good can sometimes be hard to find, Positive Charge! PDX exemplifies what it means to be dedicated to your community. Gift bags to say thank you to front-line healthcare workers during the pandemic. Emergency collections for wildfire relief and the Ukrainian crisis. Delivering water to the houseless community. Food collection from neighborhoods and stores. They are an amazing group bringing joy and hope to so many people, one good deed at a time.

I have found that this group makes me want to be involved in working to make a positive impact in the lives of those around us. With the goal of Amplifying Kindness whenever possible, Positive Charge! PDX works to better the community on a collective scale. As a non-religious, non-political 501c3, that is open to all volunteers, they try to do projects that will appeal to a large part of the population. Projects like making making welcome boxes for foster kids, making lunches for the houseless, donation drives for winter essentials or fire ravaged parts of the state, picking up bakery and deli items from stores to deliver to organizations that feed the food insecure, garden work parties to help grow food to be donated, making cards or decorating placemats for seniors to brighten their day, adding Little Free Libraries for diverse books to neighborhood around Portland, and so much more.

The very existence of this wonderful nonprofit is nothing short of astounding! It’s a great example of what the simplest time and ingenuity of caring, compassionate people can contribute to their community. I love the monthly updates and the scale of responses to any call to address a need, without any political or religious agenda.

I've been involved with PC! PDX since its founding in 2016. I love the organization because everything I do with the group is a win-win: Someone in need in the community receives a benefit, and I get my "positive charge" from doing a good deed--and doing it in community with others. What's unique about PC! PDX is that it isn't a political or religious organization; everyone is welcome. It's also great because there's not a lot of red tape; volunteers can act quickly when there's a need. Sometimes PC! PDX works with other nonprofits to fill that need, and other times they act independently, such as when we collect and deliver water to our unhoused neighbors during a heatwave. Got an idea for a good deed project? PC! PDX is willing to consider amplifying that kindness. The organization is truly a Portland treasure!

Positive Charge PDX is a great community asset. They do a wonderful job rallying volunteers and donations for a variety of causes. Large or small, local or international, Positive Charge PDX identified causes that needed help and would engage the community. They provided an outlet for community activity for neighbors during the worst of the pandemic.

The thing I love about this organization is that they are pure. There are no politics there is no drama, they simply see a need, figure out how to help and fill the need. Whether it is local or international they find the way to do their part big or small and make their impact. From reliably collecting food for the homeless to a pop up bake sale for Ukraine to donations for fire victims to farm work for local charities and delivering cookies to first responders on Christmas. They are quietly everywhere engaging the local community for the local community and beyond.
