Causes: Homeless & Housing, Homeless Shelters
Mission: The coalition supports needy families in the greater plymouth area to become self-sufficient by providing emergency shelter, skills building to enhance employment opportunities, housing search & stabilization and onsite support services. In addition to shelter services the coalition provides support for low-income households through a food pantry, a second hand goods exchange, a christmas holiday fund, ged preparation, esol classes and referrals to other human services agencies.
Programs: The pilgrim's hope shelter served 66 families (84 adults & 131 children)(44 single moms, 4 single fathers and 18 intact families) become more self- sufficient and able to cope with their families needs. 14 families were placed into housing. 13 families were stabilized. The children's holiday fund provided holiday gifts for 294 children (173 families) and holiday meals (thanksgiving & christmas) for 262 families (636 individuals). The food pantry provided 17,088 food boxes (21 meals per box)(1,954 households, 4,956 individuals visited). Approximately 598,476 (food and goods) and 149,784 (children's holiday fund) in-kind donations were received.
