Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services
Mission: The Plus Company, Inc. offers support services for adults with developmental disabiliities to enable them to integrate into the communities in which they live. PLUS offers Adult Education classes that assist individuals with expanding their literacy, computer skills, etc. that will, perhaps open up avenues for meaningful employment. The PLUS Company is an on-hands, direct-care support service assisting over 150 adults with developmental disabilities.
Programs: Residential services provided by the agency offering a variety of residential models including adult family care, staffed homes, roommates, and supported independent living. We strive to empower consumers to connect and develop relationships in the community and encourage involvement in activities of personal choice so they can experience success in being active participants in society. We serviced 99 consumers.
vocational services offered by the agency supports a diverse population of people seeking employment or working on those skills to enhance their chosen career. Supports are tailored with, and for, each individual to assure consistent, meaningful, and ongoing community based vocational services are always available. We serviced 264 consumers.
individual community resources is an innovative program implementing individual services specific to the unique needs of each person. The agency, using community resources empower individuals with disabilities in their community. Whenever possible community resources are sought to offer people the supports they need. Staff also help consumers as they develop and practice self-advocacy and independent living skills and will promote the highest level of independence and success in daily life. We serviced 146 consumers.
