Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Arts & Culture, Arts, Culture & Humanities, Arts Education, Theater

Mission: In the summer of 1986, Linda Ballance formed the idea of a children's theatre for the West Valley (Phoenix) and held the first production at the Grand Inn in Peoria, AZ, using her garage as shop space to build the scenery with the children. As a 5th grade teacher in the Cartwright School District, Linda was able to recruit other teachers and parents interested in forming a non-profit theatre company committed to producing high quality theatre productions for children and by children. PTC has grown into an organization that continually produces high quality family-oriented community theatre solely for children. PTC has received 28 ariZoni Excellence in Theatre Awards over the last 5 seasons including Best Original Play of the Year!
