Mission: Planned parenthood of the mid-hudson valley empowers individuals to make independent, informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive lives by providing access to high quality, evidence-based and medically-sound health care and educational services, and by promoting and advocating for public policies to make those services available to all.
Programs: Clinical services - primary and preventative health services, including personal counseling and examination of patients. Provide birth control, prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, abortions, referral for sterilization, infertility and other medical issues. Care provided to 19,349 patients during 2017 in dutchess, ulster, sullivan and orange counties.
education & outreach - provide sexuality and reproductive health education and printed materials to schools, organizations and groups in dutchess, ulster, sullivan and organge counties.
public policy & advocacy - activities, services and materials used for conducting with, addressed to or prepared for individuals or organizations that relate to programs for community involvement in fertility management and population related matters. Which can include those programs intended to stimulate or support community action, relations with other agencies and institutions, governmental departments and health facilities.
