Pink Cross Foundation is, for lack of a better word, a scam; more precisely, a money-making scam run by its founders Shelley and Garrett Lubben. It offers no practical services to those seeking help, and employs no trained professionals. In fact, Shelley's "degree" (in theology) is from an unaccredited online diploma mill with no campus called Vision International University. Her Masters and doctorate come from another unaccredited school -- a bible college in Bakersfield, CA -- and she earned both in approximately one year. That is laughable.
Virtually all of Lubben's life story has been debunked by the people who knew/know her -- including her own blood family. This is important because Pink Cross' claim is that if you live the way Shelley does, you too can prosper and live a healthy sober life. In reality, as multiple employees and associates (and even a reporter for the LA Weekly) have revealed in writing, Shelley is not sober, and is on many powerful (not to mention highly addictive) prescription drugs. This despite being "Healed"of all her physical, mental and emotional ailments by God.
Moreover, the Pink Cross is and always has been run out of the Lubbens' home -- which makes their tax deductions for "office expenses" (and MANY other line items) quite suspect. Their latest home lies in a rural part of Tulare County, where, incidentally, Garrett was arrested twice in 2015 and faces trial in January 2016.
Among the videos below is one where Pink Cross co-founder and treasurer Garrett Lubben, after being unable to answer the simple question "How many people are in Pink Cross' care?", lies about the PCF tax returns among other things.
Pink Cross' supposed constituency, adult film performers, actually despise Shelley Lubben, and the few who have attempted to avail themselves of its services have practically run screaming from the group. One, featured in a video below, is a deaf cancer patient who states that she was robbed and exploited by the Lubbens. Each video featured people who have had direct dealings with Pink Cross Foundation and who provided photos and documentation to back up their stories. Without exception they call her a predator.
Since Pink Cross is a faith-based group, I will add one final thing: Shelley Lubben claims to receive direct revelation from God and Jesus Christ, and has told people that she is the Prophet Elijah. Done't take my word for it, read the two excellent blog posts by the woman who was with Lubben's group the longest, April Garris, at a site called TheHealingDiaries. And note that Shelley Lubben's best friend fled the group and disavowed them not long ago.
