Mission: Pin-Ups For Vets raises funds to improve Veterans' healthcare, donates funds to VA hospitals for medical equipment and program expansion, improves quality of life for ill Veterans through personal bedside visits to deliver gifts, promotes volunteerism at Veterans Hospitals, and boosts morale for deployed troops through delivery of care packages.
Programs: Va hospital tour: in 2014 the pin-ups for vets ambassadors completed peresonal bedside visits to over 1,400 hospitalized veterans at 14 va hospitals, military hospitals and state veterans homes to deliver gifts of appreciation to ill and injured veterans. In 2014, pin-ups for vets ambassadors made 14 visits to va hospitals, military hospital & state veterans homes.
base tour & shelters: in 2014 the pin-ups for vets ambassadors completed morale-boosting visits to 6 military bases and reserve centers to deliver gifts or appreciation to troops: north island navy base (san diego), uscg base (san pedro, ca), 419th cssb (irvine, ca), edwards afb (ca), camp pendleton, ca (2 visits). 520 service members served. Also provided entertainment and motivational program for miami homeless veteran standdown & u. S. Vets homeless women's shelter 100 homeless veterans served.
care packages: during 2014, pin-ups for vets shipped out 770 gifts to deployed troops around the globe. The care packages consisted of baked goods, calendars, playing cards, and posters. The troops have responded to these gifts with personal thank yous and photos.
