Mission: Pikes peak area crime stoppers is a community partnership that works to keep the pikes peak region safer by offering cash rewards to citizens who remain anonymous and provide information regarding criminal activity in the fourth judicial district.
Programs: Crime stoppers is a community partnership that works to keep our region safer by offering cash rewards to citizens who remain anonymous and provide information regarding criminal activity in the 4th judicial district it is important for all citizens to have a stake in the making of their community a safer place to work, learn and live. Crime stoppers achieves this through a partnership between local law enforcement, media, and the general public. We are specifically tasked to increase public awareness of crime, engage citizens to cooperate with local law enforcement agencies to combat crime, offer monetary incentives for reporting activities and protect the anonymity of informants. Specific accomplishments for 2013 included 1,716 calls received by our call center and tips given to law enforcement, 47 arrests were attributed directly to tips received by the organization, and rewards totaling $7,350 were approved for distribution.
