Causes: Job Training, Vocational Counseling
Mission: Phoenix seeks to empower individuals to reach their potential and lead stable lives through satisfying work. Phoenix' vision is to create a community of prosperity and hope.
Programs: In 2014, 134 participants were trained in phoenix employment ministrys jobs week resulting in 89 jobs placed. Jobs week consists of workshops focused on teaching skills such as how to market employable skills, interview successfully, set job goals, communicate effectively, dress professionally and write a resume. Eleven participants graduated from the life skills program in its second full year of operation. Life skills is the next step for working adults interested in learning the skills necessary to advance in their careers, improve their financial literacy and set and accomplish goals.
