Causes: Economic Development, Urban & Community Economic Development
Mission: To support workforce development, economic assistance programs and government contract technical assistance programs that benefit the public and lessen the burdens of government and to facilitate the distribution of funds to exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. The organization is operated exclusively for the benefit of, to perform the function of, and/or carry on the charitable and educational activities of the greater phoenix chamber of commerce (gpcc). At all times, the corporation shall be operated, supervised or controlled by, or in connection with, the gpcc.
Programs: The current year phoenix forum event provided a public forum to discuss solutions to community issues relating to educational preparation of our future workforce. The keynote speaker was michael petrilli from the thomas b. Fordham institute.
chamber institute is the brand identifier for periodic free educational offerings that assist small businesses to learn and/or further develop their operating skills and improve business performance. The current year offering addressed leveraging the basics of brand marketing and integrating social media platforms such as facebook and pinterest to build communities of brand advocates and to drive engagement through simple, high-impact visual storytelling.
