Mission: Philly seeds, inc. 's mission is to provide self sufficiency, education, and empowerment through various direct service opportunities for residents living in public and assisted housing through our programs, philanthropic fund raising, community based partnerships and special initiatives.
Programs: Philly seeds, inc. Is a non-profit subsidiary of the philadelphia housing authority. Philly seeds (1) awards tuition assistance to pha tenants attending accredited educational institutions, (2) assists our residents transitioning to the self sufficiency required to be first time home buyers; this is done by matching tenant savings of up to $2,000, with the total going towards the closing price, and (3) provide security deposit assistance to our hcv residents needing to transfer but otherwise cannot.
