Before PAWS came to our rural town, there was no place to turn to that does the kind of help that they offer. Peggy and Chris work so hard and they care, as do all the wonderful volunteers. Thank you, thank you...you are so appreciated.

Pets are worth saving is a wonderful charity. They help so many members of this community when they are desperate to get care for sick or injured pets and don't have the money for vet bills. Their volunteers are all very kind and understanding. I'm so glad they're part of the community.

Peggy and Chris are an amazing duo and the backbone of Paws. I'm so thankful to be able to help them by fostering and donating when I can. This is a much needed service in our community.

This group had done nothing but help the people of our rural town. We are an hour from Las Vegas with no emergency weekend offices open. Peggy and Chris have opened the store to help not only take care of these needy animals but also foster them and find them homes. I donated my entire garage sale BEFORE having it LOL. I felt it would serve them and the community better than ourselves. I feel comfort knowing that if someone less fortunate needs emergency help for their pet that they are here. Keep the great work going!!

P.A.W.S. has changed my life for the better. We started out fostering a beautiful furbaby. Well, that didn't last long, we now have a gorgeous, well behaved furbaby that gets along so well with our two other rescues. This non profit does and gives so much to our community. Especially for emergency concerns. I have now chosen to support and volunteer for this most amazing program.

This organization helped me out with emergency vet care and was able to get me an appointment for my cat quickly. When my cat got really sick. I contacted this organization and they were very compassionate and met me at the vet office. They were kind enough to check in every day my cat was hospitalized to see how my cat was doing. After a while we realized my cats blood labs were not improving and my cat was getting worse and had go down to have her euthanize do to her kidneys failed completely from being poisoned. This organization even offered to take me over to see my cat if I couldn't find a ride down there that day. Without this program I wouldn't been able to try saving her. Thanks again p.a.w.s for helping me with my fur baby.

I am a volunteer at paws I love and enjoy what I do there I love seeing all the animals everyday and the animals going to new homes. I also love seeing people come in and getting what they want for what they want to pay for. I really enjoyed what I do here working at paws and all the friendly people I work with.

This group has done so much for the community and saving Pets and helping out so many people in need of Vet bills. They started small and are working wonders and yet in such a short time I've donated whenever I can easy to do right through PayPal. You can count on this non-profit organization to stretch your dollars. Please give.

I had what I thought was a medical emergency with my puppy. Of course this was before the vet's office opened. I got a hold of Peggy Saunders, the founder of this group. She managed to calm my fears and give me great suggestions on how to resolve the issue. Fortunately it turned out not to be an emergency, but those kind words of encouragement certainly went a long way with me. P A W S is always there for anyone who reaches out to them. In this rural community, they are a blessing.

Approximately 2 years ago our town lost it's animal control services completely. Peggy Sanders and others quickly formed a facebook group called PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving) and set out to help locate missing dogs find their owners, send out search parties for pets and help with emergency vet expenses by asking our community for donations to the vets office or a representative. These were cases of dire emergency whereas the owner had a sick or injured pet and could not afford to pay for a Veterinarian. Everything has been up front and honest from the beginning. We are recipients of the sweetest little dog ever that had been abandoned by it's former owner due to illness. Our home was checked out and a relationship with our older dog was ok'd before we were allowed to keep him. With this group it's not only about the animals, it's about the people too. Recently I had opportunity to visit the newly opened Thrifty Paws thrift store with my 5 grandchildren and more family. My grandchildren must wear uniforms to school and they are expensive so everyday clothing budget is small. We were able to find a bag full of clothes to fit each and every growing child and also things for 5 of us adults. Nothing is priced and it's run on donations only. I handed the volunteer my money and asked if they felt good about that amount and they said yes and I said well, I feel good about it too. That was our transaction. Also, while we were shopping, the children got to hold and play with the kittens of all ages and the dogs that are being boarded/fostered. It was the highlight of their day! I highly recommend this organization and all of it's owner and volunteers. They are filling a need for our community and the organization is growing by leaps and bounds. Thank you P.A.W.S.!

This group started out to help owners keep their pets but has grown in many directions. They now save dogs from shelters, picked up as strays and continue to help those in their community keep their pets safe and healthy. They have a thrift store that serves the community by not setting a price just asking for a donation of what ever a person can afford. Those that run the organization work tirelessly to provide for their community and the pets that live there. I have worked with the president since the beginning and know how tirelessly she and the other members of the team work. Pahrump is a better place to live because of PAWS.

I know personally that this group of people are dedicated 24 hours to the animals/pets in our community. This group has helped many dogs I've referred, taking time away from their family activity to care for the dog due to the nature of the emergency. They help the pets in our valley when everyone else may be sleeping in their beds.

This organization is truly for the animals and the community. They helped me when my retired service dog was shot. With vet care and getting the support I needed. They are a wonderful organization that does so much for the community. They are truly a donation based organization that could use all the help they can get.

Founded almost two years ago, Pets Are Worth Saving set out to assist the animals of our small community when our local shelter closed, by keeping pets in their homes. Whether with emergency care, spay/neuter, vaccines or food. Later to help place older pets that might otherwise have no hope of finding a new home and bringing older pets to seniors who might otherwise not be able to afford one with our Senior to Senior program. Funded only donations and dedicated volunteers Pets Are Worth Saving has grown and become a name that has become known to be there for anyone when their help is needed, day or night.
