PUEBLO is now located on 35th and Foothill. They have seriously low overhead costs and do a lot with a little. The executive director works really hard to make a lasting positive effect in Oakland. They have great youth programs such as meaningful jobs that provide hands-on trainings and helps kids get skills and develop professionally for a brighter future. There are also cool urban farming/gardening initiatives going on, food redistribution, police accountability work, and serious work done promoting Restaurative Justice as an alternative and effective model to the troublesome corrections system we have today. Definitely one of my favorite organizations in the bay area.
