Pam Miller is the BEST nurse ever! She has helped me by going to my appointments and also is a huge support for me to my appointments!
This non profit has done so much for children and adults with disabilities. Specialized nurses advocate on behalf of those who need intervention and assistance for a plethora of adaptive and specialized resources. It is a 100 percent free service. Thousands of people have been assisted in the State of Pennsylvania by the Elks nurses. These servants provide professional guidance in multiple areas such as, medical, physical adaptive equipment, school advocacy and a multitude of other important interventions for parents and families facing difficult systems and rejection letters. This teams hearts serve beyond thier degrees. The Pennsylvania State Elks Association raises funding each year to support these special nurse's. I highly recommend this unique and much needed non profit, who behind the scenes matter so much to the family members and the individuals caught up in a complex system of care obstacles. Hats off to the Pennsylvania Elks Special Projects team and the nurses who serve daily in humility.
It has been over 19 years that we have been receiving excellent service and care from the Elks Home Service nursing program. What is more amazing is that Dianna McCord has been providing care for my two boys for the entire 19 years. That is saying a lot about the Elks program, but more about the dedication of the nurses that work for the Elks.
When we adopted our boys from the "system" we didn't know where to go or what to do to meet their needs, and that is when the Elks nurse came into our lives. Dianna gave us the tools to help our boys grow and prosper to young men.
As parents we became advocates for our boys because of the help we received from the Elks. We could never express our thanks for all that the Elks has provided over these many years.
Elks in home health nurse has been the greatest resource and help for past 20 years and continuing!! I have needed help in every aspect of my sons life from home to community, doctors ,therapist, specialist, dentist, surgeons, neurologist, safety, to fighting for his right to an education, even though we had to advocate and fight to an extreme sometimes I couldn't have done it with out the elks in home health nurse there to help me every step of the way! I'm am very thankful for this service it has been a godsend and the best kind of help a mom of a special needs child could ever have!!
I have had an elks nurse in my life since I was little. I'm now 48. Many things have changed but the one thing that is the same is the Elks staff have always been there. If I was in need or any unable to solve a problem the elks staff are there. They always have had information and resources that were helpful to me in a time of need. It's rare to find a service that has been consistant for so many years. I'm greatful the elks staff have been part of my journey.
My family has been working with PA Elks for a few years now. This organization has helped my severely autistic daughter be able to enjoy life a little easier. Our nurse checks in on us and always answers when I need her. We owe so much thanks to this organization!
We have had the opportunity to be working with this organization fir years now. Our worker checks in on us often which gives me a piece of mind. My story is very long so I'll just say the knowledge this organization has to help people is amazing. They help with situations from young ages to the older ages.
