Causes: Human Services
Mission: To raise funds through an annual ball for organizations whose activities support the mental,physical and emotional well-being of families and children of the san francisco peninsula (san mateo and santa clara counties).
Programs: A grant of $117,100 was made to the boys and girls clubs of the peninsula for its college bound program. This program encourages and supports youth from lower socio-econiomic neighborhoods to prepare for, succeed in and to complete high school with a plan for their future. Approximately 100 youth, aged 14 through 18 are enrolled in this program. The grant supports staffing for the program including the positions of program director and three site directors, each of whom also serves as a mentor for the youth.
