Mission: Peaceways-Young General Assembly involves over 2 1/2 million young people in 91 Member Organizations worldwide. The Young GA is developing responsibly active young global and local citizens by informing them through newsletters and empowering them to better their communities, nations, and world. When young people are given the opportunity to join in mutually respectful partnerships with adults, they learn skills that shape the rest of their lives. The Young GA was designed, developed, and established by charter by young people themselves through a global grass roots democratic process that took ten years. Now, with the charter in force, the organization is managed by an Executive Committee (under 18s), a Finance Committee (over 18s), and a Special Issue Committee (both under and over 18s). The Secretariat serves as the comunications hub.
