Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Education, Elementary & Secondary Schools, Literacy
Mission: Many students have aspirations to participate in STEM and science related topics. However, their struggles in mathematics impede their journey. Though math comes easy for some, it can be a heavy burden for others. This program intends to help students who are either borderline failing or failing their math classes. We designed the program to provide personalized lesson plans with only a 5:1 student-teacher ratio. Therefore, each student will have personalized attention. Some people learn math differently and need to be paced at a different speed than the pace of a classroom. Thus, we take into account all variables impeding student learning. This program is of no cost to the parents. Additionally, we understand that the best results will come from parental participation. Our program is committed to involve the parents in every step of the student's progress. We are excited to implement this service and we wish to thank all of you for help making it happen.
Target demographics: Middle and high schoolers with STEM related subjects
Geographic areas served: Education in the Las Vegas area
Programs: After school math program, summer program-building 8-bit computers and learning the fundamentals of electronics.
